Berlin, 2016

How can you tell an act of terror? It is a violent, deadly effect without a cause.

My heart goes out the the people of Berlin who must face Christmas without loved ones whose only mistake was to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. 😦

And the winner for Episode 4 is….

winner-episode-4-002

Congratulations, George! Your prize will be winging its way to you very soon. As some of you may know, George is the creator of the game ‘Adventures of a RubberBall’ πŸ™‚

To everyone else – apologies for drawing the winner so late. For those who didn’t catch my tweet last night, the reason was that the Amazon the free download was still available when I went to bed last night so I couldn’t close off the competition.

Speaking of the competition, the correct answer to the multiple choice question was, of course, ‘the common cold’.

Normally by Sunday [in Australia] I’m busy preparing the launch of the next episode of Innerscape. The last couple of weeks have seen late starts due to timing issues with Amazon, but this week I’m the one out with the timing. The reason is that I’ve been rewriting a couple of chapters near the end of Episode 5. The outcome hasn’t changed, but the path to it has. I think, I hope, it’s become more…satisfying.

Anyway, I’m a perfectionist, and I simply could not publish something that I knew was not quite right. I couldn’t leave it alone. Hence the rewrite, and hence the delay. I know how busy things are going to get with Christmas just around the corner, so I apologise again. Episode 5 will be out there as soon as humanly possible.

cheers

Allelujah! Innerscape, Episode 4 is finally free…

I’d better make this quick. Episode 4 is now available for free download from December 6, 2016 to December 10, 2016. To get your free copy, please follow the link to Amazon below:

https://www.amazon.com/Innerscape-Episode-4-C-Flory-ebook/dp/B01N0MZ35R/ref=sr_1_4?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1481019068&sr=1-4&keywords=kindle+innerscape

The Innerscape competition is ready to go as well. Simply read the ‘Look Inside’ below [use your browser’s back button to return to this post] and answer a simple, multiple choice question in comments, and hey presto, you’ll be in with a chance to win a $20 Amazon gift voucher. πŸ™‚

The question for Episode 4 is – what did Alex Tang die of?

  1. pneumonia?
  2. a heart attack?
  3. the common cold?

If you know the answer, please write it in comments [only one per person please] at the end of this post. When the competition finishes, I’ll write each correct entry onto a piece of paper which will then be folded and placed into a vessel of some kind, maybe a hat. Finally, the Offspring will come along to select the winning entry. Easy.

The winner of the competition will be announced on this blog, plus I’ll email or contact the winner directly. Then it’s just a case of deciding what to treat yourself to…erm, with.

If you haven’t entered the competition yet, please do because I get as much fun out of it as the winner does. πŸ™‚

And now for a music track that I didn’t listen to while writing Innerscape. It’s a cinematic from Advent Children, an animation by Square Enix. This scene depicts the final fight between Cloud and Sephiroth, iconic characters from Final Fantasy 7. Even if you don’t like fighting, please watch the incredible cinematography and animation. πŸ™‚

Until then, it’s goodnight from the Antipodes,

And the winner is…..

episode-2-prize-win-001

Okay, I admit my hand written notes will never qualify me for Tattslotto, but the Offspring did a great job of selecting the winner and we both squealed in delight when we read who it was. EllaDee is only the second online friend we’ve both met in real life, and our lunch together was way too short. It truly is wonderful to meet people you’ve only spoken to online. πŸ˜€

So…EllaDee of https://elladeewords.wordpress.com/, you are the lucky winner of the second Innerscape competition! A $20 Amazon gift voucher will be winging its way to you in about five minutes, or as soon as I publish this post. Congratulations and thank you so much for helping to promote Innerscape.

And thank you to all the other lovely people who entered the competition as well. There are three more episodes to go and three more competitions so please join in.

massive hugs to you all,

cheers

Episode 2 – last day

The 5 day free period for Episode 2 ends on November 25, 2016 in the US so Southern hemisphere type people still have a few hours to grab a free copy. And I would be so very happy if you entered the competition as well. There is no obligation whatsoever and you will have a chance to win a $20 Amazon gift voucher.

Anyway, here is the relevant info. again:

The answer to the multiple choice question can now be found in the Amazon ‘Look Inside’ feature below:

You will have to click the back button on your browser to exit the ‘Look Inside’.

To enter the competition, please read the first few pages [2? 3?] of the ‘Look Inside’ for Episode 2 [above] and answer the multiple choice question below:

Miira’s little black cat is called:

  1. Rosie?
  2. Golli?
  3. Timmy?

When you know the answer, please type the name [or the corresponding number] in comments HERE: http://wp.me/p25AFu-2tM

[I’ve turned comments off on this reminder so I don’t accidentally forget to count someone’s entry!]

On the other hand, if you simply want to download the free copy of Episode 2, you can find the link here:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N1H5S1E/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1479624105&sr=8-3&keywords=kindle+Innerscape

And that’s it. In my next post I’ll be announcing the winner for Episode 2. πŸ˜€

Innerscape, Episode 2 – live and kicking. :)

Happy Monday, all. πŸ™‚ Before we begin, a quick recap of the changes: the prize for Episode 2 is one $20 Amazon gift voucher, and the answer to the multiple choice question can now be found in the Amazon ‘Look Inside’ feature below. You will have to click the back button on your browser to exit the ‘Look Inside’:

To enter the competition, please read the ‘Look Inside’ for Episode 2 [above] and answer the multiple choice question below:

Miira’s little black cat is called:

  1. Rosie?
  2. Golli?
  3. Timmy?

When you know the answer, please type the name [or the corresponding number] in comments below, and that’s it. You do not have to purchase anything and you do not have to download Episode 2 [unless you want to]. πŸ™‚

As with Episode 1, the competition will run for 5 days until Friday, November 25, 2016. Once the competition closes, I will write the names of the correct entrants on pieces of paper and they will go into a blind draw on Saturday, November 26, 2016. The winner of the $20 Amazon gift voucher will be announced in a post and on Twitter. I will also try to leave a message on your blog or website.

If you simply want to download the free copy of Episode 2, you can find the link here:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N1H5S1E/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1479624105&sr=8-3&keywords=kindle+Innerscape

If you prefer to browse to the Amazon page, you can find Episode 2 by typing ‘kindle Innerscape’ in the Amazon search box. Just be careful as Episode 1 will be at the top of the list, not Episode 2.

And now a video of another track that inspired the writing of Innerscape:

This one is part of the soundtrack to ‘Colin Frake’, and I love it. πŸ˜€
