I can see that you’re angry, and I guess if I felt badly done by I’d want other people to know about it too, but… I really can’t help you. I’m just a user like yourself, except that everything worked as advertised for me.

I wish you all the best, and I hope things work out okay for you in the end.

Yep..we live in Black Range on a bush block…have been here nearly 2 years. We evacuated twice as the fire was heading our way. Got within 3kms. It is still burning although a long way from us now.

The evacuations were really tough on Matt as he is mainly bedridden now with issues with his heart. We were lucky to have access to a disability-friendly building in Stawell. The 1st time we evacuated we had to stay overnight and honestly didn’t know if we’d have a house to come back to.

The 2nd time was a week later but we came back just after dark as the danger had passed.

As our first ever fire event it was a very scary time and we have been on high alert ever since as everything of course is SO dry and it has been SO hot. Also getting Matt up and ready to leave the house is a mjor undertaking which adds to our stress levels.

We will be glad to see the end of Summer this year >.<

-hugs- I can only imagine how awful it must have been. These fires are bad enough when you’re fit and well, but having to factor Duschennes in as well? Nightmare, pure nightmare. I guess a bunker wouldn’t help either as manhandling Matt into it would be impossible.

Oh Rae, I wish I could help. If things go completely pear shaped you can bring Matt to my place. Dad’s old room is fairly big and has a tiny ensuite. Not ideal I know but at least the roof sprinklers etc mean that he wouldn’t have to be moved if a fire threatened. Please keep it mind.

      -hugs xxxxx-

Yeah, it’s me 🙂 You somehow disappeared off my friends list on FB…was a little worried about you today. We had our scare a few weeks ago with the Black Range fire.

I’ve been hearing other people saying they’ve had similar issues. Guess the developers were tweaking something.

Black Range? My god, you know what? In my head I still think you live on the peninsula. 😦 Can I claim old age?

How are you feeling? Is Matt ok? That must have been so scary.

I’m so glad you contacted me. -huge hugs-
