I am the kind of person who always has to know why things are the way they are so my interests range from genetics and biology to politics and what makes people tick.
For fun I play online mmorpgs, read, listen to a music, dance when I get the chance and landscape my rather large block.
Work is writing. When a story I am working on is going well I'm on cloud nine. On bad days I go out and dig big holes...

Hello Andrea! Thank you for shared this very informative video. We really have to change our behavior to our planet. I hope everything is good and you will enjoy a wonderful Christmas time! Best wishes, Michael

Blogging friend Andrea asks that “if you watch only one video today, please make it this one.” I second her request. This video confirms something I’ve been saying for years … it gives us a perspective that we often forget about as we are so wrapped up in our own lives. Thank you, Andrea, for sharing this one. EVERYONE should see it!
My pleasure! I want every person to see this video! It puts it all in perspective just how small our own grumbles and desires are, relative to the big picture. Hugs! 🤗
That was wonderful, Andrea. I could have watched it over and over again. And I love that he is hopeful and believes that we’ll reach that critical mass where our perspectives will change and we’ll begin to save the planet, save each other, and save ourselves. Thanks for the beautiful share. ❤ ❤
If it were only true.
The wealthy own their parts of the Earth. The rest of us just rent them. When automation, owned by the rich, has expanded where the means of production, all production, is done without human intervention, the “them”, that is, “us” will have become fully expendable.
This is our eventuality.
Excess to demand? Yes, probably, unless that 1% suddenly have a complete change of heart…
I wish I knew what it is that makes some people care about others. It’s easy to say ’empathy’, but where does empathy reside? Why do some humans have enough and to spare while others seem to have none?
I’m not sanguine about homo sapiens long terms survival prospects either, but when I see something like this glorious video, I want it to be so. I really, really want us to become…better.
Altruism was a survival requirement for early Man. Not anymore, not for centuries, if not millennia.
The sequestering of the wealthy in protected enclaves may actually be a human survival trait. When the SHTF, and calamity ingests the 99.999% of society who have no deep mountain bunkers, the wealthy will survive to repopulate the planet. Of course, repopulate it with selfish, nasty folk who’d kill and eat their siblings to survive.
-massive hugs- Thank you Cage. I had a lump in my throat the whole way through this video. And it made me hope. Maybe if enough of us find hope we can make it happen.
