I can’t tell you how good it feels to see the Classic toolbar, all in one, neat place at the top of the post. It’s like the blinkers have come off!
To celebrate, I’ve made a new Plotagon video starring the lovely Kenneth Wu. I tried for a little humour this time, not sure it worked. Anyway, could you please tell me whether the speech is clear enough or whether I should put in sub-titles?
In the high resolution version, the speech is fine, but that version comes in at around 35 MB :(. This one is quite a bit less so fingers crossed.
cheers

It was very clear for me too, Meeks, even with one annoying blocked ear. i loved the range of facial expressions you were able to get.

-grin- Thanks Anne! I know I’m probably trying for something more realistic than Plotagon is really designed for, but I love the challenge. š

It was mostly clear, but mostly deaf person here š … so does Vimeo automatically come with closed captions like YouTube?

Ah, sorry about that Widds.
No, I have to make the decision to have subtitles or not at the time I render the video [in Plotagon]. I’m hoping I can get away without the subtitles because of the little cheats I’ve had to use. The text to speech program is remarkably good, but it doesn’t get ‘Innerscape’ or ‘Wu’. So to make the sound come out okay, I have to cheat and make it ‘in escape’ and ‘Woo’. That would be glaringly wrong with subtitles.
I might investigate to see if I can do the subtitles separately. Hmm…yes, I will do that!

Nice video! He looks almost as I imagined he did when I read Innerscape!
Sound was absolutely clear – well done you!

Hi Chris. š The odd thing is, he looks and even sounds much like I imagined Kenneth too. I wish I could take more credit for that, but I think it was pure luck that I stumbled on the right combination of ‘components’. Not that happy with the Miira one, but you can’t have everything.
Thanks for the feedback on the sound. If Kenneth is going to be my ‘front man’, his words have to be clear. š

It was clear enough to me, and I am deaf in one ear! That said, subs are always a good idea for those who don’t want to disturb their entourage with sound (or have earphones to listen).

-giggles- Thanks Mel! I’m hoping to do without sub-titles because when I type Kenneth’s name properly – i.e. Wu – the voice thingie comes across as ‘Wa’. So I cheated and typed Wu as Woo. Sounds right but looks silly. š
