In a recent post, I raged about Sydney staging New Year’s Eve fireworks when so much of Australia is burning. This is a fantastic alternative for New Year’s Eve 2020 and beyond:
My thanks to Carol Cooks 2 for bringing this amazing video clip/technology to my attention.
I am the kind of person who always has to know why things are the way they are so my interests range from genetics and biology to politics and what makes people tick.
For fun I play online mmorpgs, read, listen to a music, dance when I get the chance and landscape my rather large block.
Work is writing. When a story I am working on is going well I'm on cloud nine. On bad days I go out and dig big holes...

Thank you for sharing this Meeks… It shows that there are indeed far better options than fireworks both the environment and the thousands of animals who are petrified would be better for using light shows…
We actually went to see the fireworks [in Melbourne] for New Year’s Eve 2000, and I still remember the awful smell of the cordite? Whatever that stuff is that makes fireworks ‘go’. We were blanketed in it. Heaven knows how much damage that stuff does. It’s definitely time for a better solution and those drones do it for me. π

Brilliant show, fantastic idea. Less damage to the environment is always a winner.

I know you can also get Climate friendly firworks But I think the drones are a better idea it just needs pushing the idea to our local bigwigs…x

Amen to that. Apart from anything else, I think the drones are both more artistic, and heaps more fun. π
