The guy in the following article loves the kind of cats who can shred a human with the casual flick of a claw. Watching the relationship between this man and ‘Meg’ was both heart stopping and uplifting:
I am the kind of person who always has to know why things are the way they are so my interests range from genetics and biology to politics and what makes people tick.
For fun I play online mmorpgs, read, listen to a music, dance when I get the chance and landscape my rather large block.
Work is writing. When a story I am working on is going well I'm on cloud nine. On bad days I go out and dig big holes...

That’s one big puddy tat! Cool video, Andrea. I love it when humans show us that the world is full of beauty, wonder, and other amazing creatures. I don’t get the people who just want to kill everything.
I’ve been thinking a lot about that as I read Jacqui’s book about our pre-history. I know we share some Neanderthal genes, and now I’m starting to wonder whether our aggression comes from one lot of genetic ancestors and our empathy from another.
I don’t understand people who get a kick out of killing things either. To me they’re…alien.
What an interesting concept about the branches of our ancestors. I usually explain our aggressive natures as “cave-man” in origin in general. Hundreds of thousands of years where violence was key to survival. The genes are probably still there and rear their ugly heads when we aren’t using that amazing evolutionary thing called a brain. 🙂
lol – I use ‘caveman’ in the same way, but now I’m seriously wondering whether we get the empathy from the Neanderthals instead. I guess we’ll never know, but you’re absolutely right about that unused organ on the end of our necks. 😀

Cool ‘Lion cam’ video! Though I’d be a bit reluctant to get that close to one in the wild. Or any time, really…

lol – dare I say, me too? My very small cats love me, but they still turn me into a pincushion at times. A cat the size of that lioness….
