Musical tastes vary, I know, and mine may not match yours, but if it does…hi new friend! 🙂
Today I want to introduce you to my new favourite composer. His name is Peter Milinkovic, he hails from Serbia, and his company is called Talekeeper Music. What could be more perfect?
I found Milinkovic on Soundcloud which is an extraordinary website that showcases the work of new and not so new composers. The link below is for ‘Unbroken’, a track with a haunting melody and uplifting ‘pace’, very Kaati-ish :
The next one is called ‘Sun’ and the graphic is soooo Vokhtah! :

I haz new writing music! Later all. 🙂

Just got to listen to them, and loved them. They remind me of Philip Glass, who I also love. Thanks for the new music!

Hi Anne! Tickled pink you like them. For straight music – i.e. no video – Soundcloud has become my favourite go-to place. Constantly amazed at how /good/ these Indie composers are.

I am very fond of Chopin piano music he always seems to create such beautiful melodies , but modern classical is meaningless to me and most of Debussy just torrents of notes. Mozart is appreciated by many because of his simple tuneful music .

Aaaah…love Chopin. His nocturnes are so…soulful. With Debussy and Mozart though, I’m in reverse to you. Love most of Debussy’s music, so-so about Mozart. Isn’t it interesting how styles in music align with something in /us/?

Yes each one is a complete masterpiece in itself and they always carry me to places I’ve never been to before.
Unfortunately they are difficult to play even the famous one in E flat.

lol – Chopin was a virtuoso, maybe not quite as bad as Liszt, but yeah, very hard to play.

Great pieces, Andrea. I listened to both and loved them. I followed Talekeeper so I’ll be able to find Peter again. I spent tons of time listening to stuff like this when making my ppt trailer. It was a blast. Are you toying with the idea for your books?? 🙂

-dance- Thank you, Diana! I don’t think he’s got the following he deserves.
I haven’t forgotten about the ppt trailer, but I’m putting a lot of things off until my paid work finishes in a couple of weeks. The teaching isn’t strenuous, but I do spend time preparing how-tos and so my brain struggles to swap between creative and tech.

I’ve got to admit it sounds just like typical background music to me but then I seem to have a built in resistance to most things that are new.

-grin- That’s okay. At least you didn’t think it was elevator music! lol Oddly enough, I love trailer music of this kind because classical music is my first love. So I’m not really into
‘the new’ either. 🙂

Music that clicks with whatever you’re writing is a gift from the writing gods.

Isn’t it just? I can’t seem to get going until I find the right music for that scene/story/world etc.
