I’m okay with most of those novelties, but I’d like to know more of the history. The stuff we learn in school is almost always about conflict of one sort or the other. Wouldn’t it be nice if we were taught more about the things we’ve invented?

I’m no student of history, but I’m pretty sure that the concept of one law for all is one of the foundation stones of democracy. It’s actually pretty amazing.
