Rats, rats and more rats! Nice ones. :)

Disclaimer: I don’t like rats, but these ones could make me change my mind. I was blown away by how smart they are. The video is about their tricks. Seriously amazing:

But what got me onto rats in the first place? This photo:

At first I thought they were toys, staged to look like little musicians. Then I followed the link to its home and discovered that they were real!

We babysat the rat from y daughter’s school class over a summer. She was pretty cool.

Thank you, I love rats. So intelligent but I wouldn’t be as brave as her taking them outside.

I have a friend in England who used to have rats. They charmed me!

  Same friend? I never quite got past the ‘ick’ factor. But pictures are worth a 1000 words aren’t they? That said, I still wouldn’t want to live with one.

    My friend is Andrea Gilbey, author of Bottletops for Battleships. “Met” her before she published. 🙂 Rats only live a couple-three years, and it broke her heart, so she got cats.

      I didn’t realise they were so short-lived. That would be so hard. I deliberately ‘forget’ how old my guys are. Wish they could live as long as us.
