I’ve always loved black and white line drawings, but these ones are simply mind boggling. Enjoy!

WOW! I’m awed. A friend of mine volunteers at the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery, I’ve got to ask her about his show and how his work was received.

My mother’s uncle was an artist who used pen and ink in the 1920’s. We are fortunate to have inherited three of his pieces. They are scenes on Amsterdam and have that same detail. Love them.

Oh you are so lucky! The only artistic one in my family was an aunt who made lace and did tapestries. She sent me one as a wedding present and I had it framed. I love it but I love line drawings more! 🙂

Yes, I am. My sister has a fourth one, much larger, of a Cathedral in Amsterdam. I hope to inherit it some day, too, as she has no children. 🙂

Was just thinking how lucky /he/ is that he has become immortalised through his work and members of his family who appreciate what he did. I guess that’s what we all want in the long run, right?
