I am the kind of person who always has to know why things are the way they are so my interests range from genetics and biology to politics and what makes people tick.
For fun I play online mmorpgs, read, listen to a music, dance when I get the chance and landscape my rather large block.
Work is writing. When a story I am working on is going well I'm on cloud nine. On bad days I go out and dig big holes...

Yay! We’ve had it in Canada for several years now. “On July 20, 2005, Canada became the first country outside Europe and the fourth country in the world to legalize same-sex marriage nationwide after the enactment of the Civil Marriage Act. Same-sex adoption has also been legal in all provinces and territories under varying rules.”
I know. π Some of us here in Australia have felt VERY left behind. We’re supposed to be a small ‘l’ liberal country that prides itself on giving everyone a fair go. Didn’t happen thanks to our stupid politicians. Now they’re clapping themselves on the back for finally giving us what poll after poll has proved year after year. We the people wanted marriage equality, ‘they’ didn’t. π¦
That was some moment! Amazing that within my lifetime gay relationships have gone from being a criminal act to celebrated through marriage. Well done to everyone over the years who have fought so hard for that to become a possibility.
I know! It seems so fast to us on the outside, but I imagine it’s been agonizingly slow for couples who’ve waited a lifetime just to be able to say ‘I do’ like everyone else.
