I am the kind of person who always has to know why things are the way they are so my interests range from genetics and biology to politics and what makes people tick.
For fun I play online mmorpgs, read, listen to a music, dance when I get the chance and landscape my rather large block.
Work is writing. When a story I am working on is going well I'm on cloud nine. On bad days I go out and dig big holes...

Believe it or not, I have two Cirque friends. A few years back I was introduced to a performer. He took us back stage after the show. What a treat!!! His on-the-road hobby was Tango dancing and he said that it enabled him to meet non Cirque people in each city they visited. Ante (Anthony in Croatian) introduced me to a musician from Germany who is still on the road. I love her Facebook posts from all over the world.
As for Ante, I think he broke a lot of hearts along the way. (I was too old to be his romantic partner, but dancing is another thing.) He then left the circus and spent a year in NYC in graduate school. He’s out in California now. His stories about life on the road with this truly special circus troupe were fascinating.
Once again, I bet I’m surprising you with a Tango story!
-giggles- you are such a DARK HORSE! Serously, you should write a tango book. It is such a defining part of your life, and it’s way more than just a dance hobby.
If you wrote it, I’d read it!
-cough- no pressure, of course….
