I am the kind of person who always has to know why things are the way they are so my interests range from genetics and biology to politics and what makes people tick.
For fun I play online mmorpgs, read, listen to a music, dance when I get the chance and landscape my rather large block.
Work is writing. When a story I am working on is going well I'm on cloud nine. On bad days I go out and dig big holes...

Oh WOW! It is amazing. But it is also one of those “of course” moments, because of course the ‘ink’ in 3D printers could be food. I do wonder what Einstein would make of his face being 3D printed as a pancake! And I am not sure about the printer that uses the prepackaged food.
Yeah, that’s the quality of the food is what worries me. I guess it’s probably no worse than the processed meals people can buy from the supermarket, but still, how much processing goes into it? Who knows. I’ll be sticking to a stove for now but by the time I’m 90 it’ll beat meals on wheels. 😀
Sadly, the mindset that will make 3D printed food popular is already here. So many people either don’t like to cook or don’t know how or don’t have the time, blah blah. This will be convenience on tap. The only question is how long will it take for the tech to become as cheap as a microwave?
I just have this feeling that we sacrifice something important when we move away from gardens and farms. Our bodies are supposed to eat “food” not “foodlike” products.
Thx for the information! Why dont test it? Whith a lot of ketchup its all the same. 😉 Sometimes i think all the industrial food since longest time is printed. 😉

I didn’t even think to check the price, but yeah, I shudder to think how much it must cost. But I bet the price comes down faster than we think.

lol – unlikely but it’s a great toy for now. In 50 years though? I can see the grandchild of this concept being like a vending machine.
