Auntie Em: I wouldnāt miss it for the world. Who is this lovely person youāre with, Lita?
Lita: This is Gentle Reader.
Auntie Em: Enchanted to meet you. Did you two hear that Kadmeion searched for me during much of his Dreadful Poetry story? I was quite the star, and I wasnāt evenā¦

The end of a bad cold….up coughing in the bathroom in a useless attempt to allow my poor husband some sleep before he goes to work.

Oh, kind of you. Thanks. I am incredibly fortunate to be ill so very rarely, that when I am a tad unwell, I become a total monster š¹!!

Hello Meeka, I love your blog, and I love the things you bring up. Having said that, I am at a loss here. I don’t understand the hair post at https://litaburke.com/2016/12/17/searching-for-auntie-em-in-dreadful-poetry/ . I guess it is a story and I just don’t have the background to understand. Yet I was lost. OK, I guess there will be some posts I just don’t get. However the rest are so wonderful I have to keep trying. Hugs

oh!…-giggles- Sorry, Scottie. In the post I reblogged, Lita [the author] interviews one of the characters in the book and asks about her hair…coz the character has grass growing out of her head instead of mushrooms. The reason is that the grass is more ‘drought resistant’.
Essentially I was doing a stream of consciousness thing on the fact that we’re going into summer here in Australia so things get very ‘dry’. š

It is OK, and I love your blog. I am just a little more …backward minded …..so I can’t quite understand such grand writing. It is OK… I love the idea of an author writing in something which is true today… a lack of water, which is very true to being live. So I like the idea, I just missed all the subtleties. Don’t worry, I will study and catch up with the rest of the class. Thanks and hugs
