For those who have read the induction scenes of Episode 1 of Innerscape, the possibilities of virtual reality in health care should come as no surprise. But did you know that VR is already set to help real people with real problems, both physical and mental? Exciting times. 🙂
My thanks to for introducing me to this article:

I had lunch the other day with my last “conventional” boss. He was far from conventional and the business was a Virtual Reality applications company. Naturally, we talked about how far VR has come and how it has not yet met the promise he envisioned in the early 1990s. And I told him all about Innerscape!

OH! I hope he doesn’t fall over laughing. The one bad thing about sci-fi is that the tech [and my knowledge] becomes so dated so quickly. That said, I’d love to have something like Innerscape to look forward to in my dotage. 😀

I really believe you’ve placed Innerscape in just the right time period, Meeks – quite a brilliant estimation of how technology will progress. Well done! *hugs*

I hope so, Chris. I wish your time machine really did work so I could go forward in time to see how close I get. 😀

-hugs- I’ll have to rewrite Innerscape completely if it does. 🙂

Yep, and that’s just one reason I admire Innerscape, and highly recommend it not just for sci-fans, but anyone who’s interested in the future of medicine.

Thanks, Candace. I started Innerscape in November 2012 and back then, the tech was all pie in the sky. Now it’s almost mainstream. I’m glad but also a bit disturbed at how quickly it’s evolving.

I think medicine is the next ‘industry’ to be disrupted by technology. 🙂
