I’ve always loved the elegance of Japanese art and design, but this ‘house’ totally blows my mind. From ground level, every angle looks like a cluster of round tents, or maybe tiny towers from a fairy-tale, but each ‘tent’ is actually a perfect square which is angled to overlap the other squares to create the illusion of circles. Check the original out, just for the photos if nothing else. And that pool? To die for…-drool-
Have you wondered how you’ll spend your retired days? I’ll give you an idea. A genius Japanese architect created an unique home for 2 retired ladies with their caretaker and a cook.

Most awesome. I would definitely live in something like that, as long as there was a bit more color 🙂

lol – yes, I’d want a bit more colour too but I really do love the minimalist feel to the place. Beautiful and yet not cluttered. Not a single unnecessary thing…no dusting!

A care taker and a cook? I could go for that! You are right, the photos are worth checking out. I really like the kitchen.

What an amazing looking place! I could imagine living quite happily there, even though I might feel a little like a garden gnome. 🙂

A yukata and the bag on my head would certainly make a very fetching combination. 🙂
