At least 30 people are dead and about 100 reportedly taken hostage in Paris after multiple attacks
Paris under attack. 3 separate incidents, including 60 – 100 people taken hostage at a theatre/concert. This is happening live. No group has claimed responsibility yet but the 3 attacks seem to be a concerted effort. Or one truly horrible coincidence. 😦
Quartz seems to have a lot of live coverage:

The tragedy of the events keeps unfolding, and no doubt will for ages to come. David is so right that there can not be a kickback against the Muslims who live in France, and the tens of thousands of refugees who are streaming into Europe.

Politicians tend to go for soft targets and there are none softer than the dispossessed. 😦

Sadly by the time I read this things had changed a lot. 130 dead, 352 injured of which 60+ are critical. ISIS claimed it as expected. It’s a terrible event but not unexpected I suppose and personally I expect more across Europe.
I’ve just heard one moronic newscaster say it won’t be like that here as those kind of weapons are harder to come by here. Has he never heard of the diplomatic bag ? Any nation sympathetic to ISIS ideal could get weapons for them. Any country that wants to destabilise the West can do the same.
The thing to watch while mourning all these poor people is that there is not a kick against the Moslem population of France who will in the main be as sickened by this as anyone. These merciless bastards are a minority who show no pity to their own kind either in the fight for power.
Mike says typically that all refugees should be returned whence they came as though that settles all problems. That’s the kind of care ISIS feels for people. We’re better than that.

There’s been a report here – unconfirmed? – that one of the attackers was found with a Syrian passport next to the body. I can’t believe such a well organized group of terrorists would ‘forget’ something that obvious.
Someone taking advantage to strike a blow against the refugees? Who knows, but I greatly fear logic will not sway those who hate already.

Been out in the garden so just about to check the latest. Why does this madness always seem to come in cycles? Wish it would just stop.
