My most recent article on the writing game just went up on Indies Unlimited:

I intended it to spark a discussion, and its happening. Come join the fun. 🙂

I am the kind of person who always has to know why things are the way they are so my interests range from genetics and biology to politics and what makes people tick.
For fun I play online mmorpgs, read, listen to a music, dance when I get the chance and landscape my rather large block.
Work is writing. When a story I am working on is going well I'm on cloud nine. On bad days I go out and dig big holes...

I’m very interested to see how book publishing proceeds… out of reader self-interest but also to keep attracting new talent and efforts into the author/book pool.
A practical consideration for me is budget, for new books it is limited mainly to new and lower priced offerings, other wise the library and second hand books are my friends.
To consider a world where I could not afford a new book would be very sad indeed.

I hear you. Cost is a big factor for my as well. I literally have a panic attack when I run out of reading material so keeping up a supply of good, low cost ebooks is vital. Of course to do that, I have to sniff out good new Indie authors all the time. 🙂
