Another hot day, more bushfires and non-stop radio killed my concentration, so I updated this old vector map of the Northern Trade Route described in Vokhtah. ย Left click on the image to see it at full size.

First Map of Vokhtah

About acflory
I am the kind of person who always has to know why things are the way they are so my interests range from genetics and biology to politics and what makes people tick.
For fun I play online mmorpgs, read, listen to a music, dance when I get the chance and landscape my rather large block.
Work is writing. When a story I am working on is going well I'm on cloud nine. On bad days I go out and dig big holes...

Maps just add so much, don’t they? This one is a beauty.

I love the map as your writing tool โ to keep the important geography in your mind as you wrote. Great idea!

You inspired me to get an app called CC3. It is very powerful but… I haven’t worked out how to do even the basics in it yet. -sigh- For now, Corel Draw will have to do.

This is a fantastic map and a great aid to visualizing the heroic quest. Sorry about the heat… I know how difficult it must be, but I think your harsh environment made Vokhtah so real. These summers and the fear of fire fed your vision with realizm. Can’t wait for Book II… you’ll have to incorporate the map somehow.

Thanks Ilil. I’m slowly gathering the courage to think about Createspace and publishing a POD print version. When I do I’ll definitely include the map and the Bestiary.

I’m so glad. And thank you for motivating me to revisit it.
I wish we could get the Kindle Fire here as I’d love to show the map in colour. Don’t think shades of grey will work too well.

I’m crossing my fingers for rain. The map is beautifully drawn. Is this one your daughter did? If so, she’s a great little artist. Hugs xx

-blush- No, actually I did the map. I needed a visual reference when I was writing Vokhtah so I have a couple of them. They’re still pretty rough but I’m hoping this one will be ok to include with the print version [one fine day].
-hugs- You’ve made my day.
