Kat Brooks [also known as the ‘blurb doctor] from Indies Unlimited just pointed out that the blurb I posted about Vokhtah on Amazon makes the book sound like alien erotica. And she’s right. I’m blushing bright red just thinking about it. 😦
I’ve fixed things up but the edits will take another 12 hours to kick in, so I’m praying no-one reads that awful boo boo in the meantime. Alien erotica was not my intent. -sigh-
My heartfelt thanks to Kat for saving me from an awful lot of embarrassment, not to mention the odd, disappointed reader!
cheers

Yup. Next time before I publish a blurb I will definitely be asking for feedback!

I must be slipping up if I let that one by and I read it too. Maybe I’m just past it ? I hope things are going well and you’re getting a lot of attention.

lol – I think we must both be past it David. And thanks but until the new blurb is up I rather hope I don’t get any attention!

I just checked it out and I spose it does sound a bit like erotica. I’m not normally a sci fi reader, but I am intrigued now, will be buying very shortly. Stay tuned for my review. 🙂

Yup. 😦 I didn’t see it until it was pointed out to me and then I just about went through the floor. One of those awful ‘oh my god, what have I done?’ moments.
I’m looking forward to your review, especially as you’re not a sci-fi reader. Fingers crossed that you like it 🙂 If there are bits that worry you please tell me.

Ack! Well, at least you have the best possible blurb doctor. She is a trained professional, you know. 😀

I think I’ve read one of Kat’s posts on blurbs but it would have been a while ago. She does know her stuff doesn’t she? Fate was smiling on me today.
