Bloody hell. I can’t believe it. After all this angst my first, honest-to-god book is published. Almost 13 years in the making and I can finally say that I am an author. Would you believe I’m actually shaking?
Whatever happens from here on in, none of my birthdays are ever going to be quite as memorable as my 60th, even if this amazing present was a leetle bit late in arriving. 
Before I go pour myself a huge glass of shiraz, I want to thank five special people : the Daughter, Laurie Boris, David Young, Ilil Arbel, and Lord David Prosser. Seriously guys, I love you all. And I want to thank my blogger friends as well, for giving me confidence and for just being… friends.

More good news. Amazon kept it! I just bought a copy so I could “share” it, and now it’s shared on my Facebook and my Twitter accounts. Best seller in the making! On with the millions!

-giggles- Can I hire you and Candy as my marketing gurus? Please! I am so wrapped that Amazon let your review stand. I think I would have been devastated to lose it.
I haven’t done a scrap of marketing yet today because I’ve had my roof sprinkler team out here checking the system because there was a tiny leak the other day. Thank go it turns out it was just an ordinary cap fitting that had worked a bit loose from the vibration of the pumps. So we’re all set for another 39C day tomorrow.
Oh! And my birthday umbrella is up and shading the pool .
I will try to take a decent photo of it this afternoon.
